For Art dans la Cité, creation and contemplation are necessary activities that accompany medical treatments. Art allows patients to express positive values, breaking the passivity of the treatment and relieving them of the stress of hospitalization.

Care can take advantage of the presence of the arts that bring to hospital an essential and spiritual dimension because it is so human.

Intermediating in hospitals, Art dans la Cité raises awareness of this public to the contemporary artistic creation.

The original and often experimental artworks, made in situ, in pediatric, geriatric, psychiatric …services, are the result of a strategic thinking between the leaders of Art dans la Cité, scientists, artists, hospital staff and patients.

These creations transform the patient’s stay, but also the daily life of the medical teams and the welcome of many hospital visitors.

Art dans la Cité uses now digital art in hospitals and invests more intimate spaces like the patient’s room, participating in the creation of new concepts and products for the hospital.
