Illuminart Museum, was presented for the first time on October 17, 2019, to the project partners and enthusiastic health facility managers!

The entrance is smooth, no queuing, the museum is still open! An azure sky, a luminous building, an original sculpture of Santiago Torres, welcome the visitor and invite you to discover the inaugural exhibition with a selection of works from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, our first museum partner. Art dans la City pushes the boundaries of reality and welcomes its first visitors in its virtual museum! Through this initiative, it highlights the collaboration between the artistic and medical sectors, for well-being at the hospital.

The visitor strolls in his own way, in the heart of the museum, to discover the exhibition rooms, interacting with the artworks. The virtual reality headset is the great innovation offered with our virtual museum. For all patients who will benefit, this new experience will offer extraordinary opportunities.

ILLUMINART MUSEUM, multi-cultural venue open to the world, allows patients to discover works of art from all over the world in their hospital rooms, and have access to a multidisciplinary and international artistic and cultural program. They are accompanied by a written cartel and or an audio one

Different spaces are already proposed within the museum: a central patio with trees reminiscent of nature, huge exhibition bright rooms, a library where you can go to read and relax, a music room … Beyond exhibitions in unlimited development, we can see movies, shows, concerts! The virtual world offers a multitude of dreams to realize.

Digital creations previously carried out by ART dans la Cité for care units, are also visible. A room is for example dedicated to the virtual Aquarium created by the artist Louise Mercadier.

ILLUMINART MUSEUM offers an immersion in a pleasant atmosphere, bright, exotic. ADLC wishes to deploy multi-sensory environments in perpetual evolution, where artworks, colors, sounds and odors meet and answer each other for the pleasure of all.
